The Whole Megillah: The History of Yiddish Theatre

A dramatic musical and visual tour of the colorful history of Yiddish theatre, from its beginnings in the late 1800's through its Golden Age and beyond.

A multi-media presentation by Charles Troy with members of the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band: Cantor Pavel Roytman; musical director and violinist Alex Koffman; Donald Jacobs (clarinet) and Gail Mangurten (piano).

Charles Troy, popular speaker and presenter, is an acclaimed musical theatre historian and graphic designer. Over the past seven years, Charles has created over 50 multi-media presentations and had presented his work to countless local and national audiences. His work has also been published in The Sondheim Review.

He appears at Skokie Theatre on the first Wednesday of every month. Please join him and the Maxwell St Klezmer Band for this special presentation.
