Woman Reports Recording In Old Orchard Changing Room: Blotter

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested and of incidents reported to the police. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Readers are reminded that everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless their guilt is established beyond a reasonable doubt, and criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
INCIDENTS
HOME BURGLARIES
- A residential burglary took place between 11 p.m. on Dec. 29 and 6 p.m. on Dec. 30 in the 5000 block of Carol Street .
- A residential burglary took place between 5 and 9:10 p.m. on Dec. 31 in the 3900 block of Brummel Street.
- A burglary in progress was reported around 6 p.m. on Jan. 1 in the 7400 block of Crawford Street.
- Someone burglarized a home in the 5000 block of Dobson Street between 4:45 and 7:53 p.m. on Jan. 1.
- A home in the 5100 block of Howard Street was burglarized between 5 and 8:33 p.m. on Jan. 1.
- Someone attempted to burglarize a home in the 4800 block of Foster Street between 11:35 p.m. on Dec. 31 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 1.
- A burglar got into a home in the 7700 block of Keeler Avenue through a basement bathroom window and stole an unknown amount of property between 1 p.m. on Jan. 3 and 5 p.m. on Jan. 4.
- Someone broke into a home in the 1000 block of Lavergne Avenue and stole an unknown amount of jewelry between 5 and 8:07 p.m. on Jan. 4.
- Someone attempted to break into a home in the 5000 block of Lunt Avenue between noon on Dec. 28 and 9:40 a.m. on Jan. 5.
COUNTERFEIT DEPOSITS
Staff at a bank in the 7800 block of Lincoln Avenue reported that 23 counterfeit bills were deposited between Dec. 8 and Dec. 31.

COUNTERFEIT PAYMENTS
Staff at the Sunglass Hut in the 5900 block of Old Orchard Center reported that an unidentified women or girl had used counterfeit money to purchase items on Dec. 14.
STOLEN CAR FOUND
A vehicle stolen from a truck rental company in the 4900 block of Chase Avenue was recovered around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 31.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
An aggravated assault was reported in the 4800 block of Conrad Street around 7:15 p.m. on Dec. 31. Police did not disclose whether anyone was arrested in connection with the incident.
UNDERAGE DRINKING AT NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY
Around 1 a.m. on Jan. 1, after police were dispatched to a report of an unconscious person in the 3400 block of Lake Street, they found the person had become intoxicated at a party with people under the age of 21. Police said all attendees were cited for unlawful consumption of alcohol and released to their parents.
BATTERY
Someone struck a person in the face multiple times between 2 and 3 a.m. on Jan. 1 in the 5300 block of Touhy Avenue.
STOLEN CARS
- A parked car was reported stolen from a lot in the 9400 block of Skokie Boulevard around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 2.
- A car was stolen from the 5500 block of Touhy Avenue between 6:50 a.m. on Jan. 4 and 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 4 and reportedly damaged.
- A car was reported stolen from the 5200 block of Old Orchard Road between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 4.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY
- An aggravated battery to child was reported in the 8200 block of Monticello Avenue around midnight on Dec. 28.
- An aggravated battery and retail theft was reported at the Macy's in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Center shortly after 6 p.m. on Jan. 3.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Someone intentionally triggered a false fire alarm at Oakton Park in the 4700 block of Oakton Street around 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 2.
CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole two suitcases from an unlocked trunk of a car in the 4000 block of Birchwood Avenue between 9 p.m. on Jan. 2 and noon on Jan. 3.
DINE AND DASH
Seven patrons of the Outback Steakhouse in the 5500 block of Touhy Avenue walked out between 4:15 and 6:37 p.m. on Jan. 4 and left the scene in a black Mercedes.
UNAUTHORIZED RECORDING
A patron of the Forever 21 store at the Old Orchard Shopping Center reported that she believed a man was recording her while she was changing in the store's fitting room around 12:38 p.m. on Jan. 6.

ARRESTS
Randy S. Miller, 24, of the 1100 block of Darrow Avenue, Evanston, was arrested around 9 p.m. on Jan. 2 in the 5200 block of Dempster Street and charged with possession of a controlled substance, manufacture of a controlled substance, felony possession of more than 100 grams of cannabis and delivery of more than 30 grams of cannabis.
Raul Miranda, 19, of the 1200 block of West Cleveland Avenue, Evanston, was arrested at 4:35 a.m. on Jan. 3 at the Skokie Police Department on an in-state warrant.
Moneva A. Owens, 58, of the 8100 block of Knox Avenue, Skokie, was arrested at 6:11 p.m. on Jan. 3 on two in-state arrest warrants and charged with retail theft from the Walgreens in the 8000 block of Skokie Boulevard. She was also issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gregory A. White, 30, of the 6400 block of North Hoyne Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. on Jan. 3 in the 3400 block of and charged with retail theft and two counts of criminal trespassing at the XSport Fitness in the 4500 block of Touhy Avenue.
Jonathan Birman, 19, of the 5400 block of North Lowell Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 4 in the 5400 block of Main Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing or attempting to elude police and driving without a license.
Binil Abraham, 22, of the 4300 block of Church Street, Skokie, was arrested around 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 5 and charged with retail theft and theft of more than $500 at the Macy's in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Court.
Jerome T. Graham, 33, of the 4200 block of Oakton Street, Skokie, was arrested around 3 a.m. on Jan. 7 in the 3800 block of Estes Avenue, Lincolnwood, and charged with retail theft and battery in connection with an incident at the Walmart in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 6.
