Woman Threatened With Gun For Driving 'Too Slow': Blotter

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of police activity and of those recently arrested. HOME BURGLARY

Someone entered a home on the 8600 block of Springfield Avenue through an open kitchen window and stole a pink jewelry box between 6:10 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. on Aug. 26.

A navy blue Ford Expedition with Illinois plates beginning "AB" followed by a possible "1" crashed into a victim near the intersection of Lacrosse Avenue and Davis Street shortly after 12:15 a.m. on Aug. 27
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT (WITH FIREARM)
Around 12:19 p.m. on Aug. 27, an unknown man pulled up next to a woman for driving too slow in the 5500 block of Oakton Street. He then pulled out a black handgun and allegedly pointed it at her before fleeing the scene northbound on Gross Point Road.
CHILD ENDANGERMENT
A known offender endangered the health of a child in the 8100 block of Knox Avenue around 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 27.
PEEPING TOM
A Peeping Tom was reported at 7 a.m. on Aug. 28 in the 8200 block of Knox Avenue.
CRIMINAL AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT
There was a sexual assault in the 9000 block of Lavergne Avenue between March 2 and Aug. 28, police were told.
AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A SENIOR
Around 3:04 p.m. on Aug. 27, there was allegedly an aggravated battery committed against a senior citizen in the 9400 block of Crawford Avenue.
ARMED ROBBERY
Someone robbed a person in the 9400 block of Kenton Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. on Aug. 27.
BATTERY
A woman said she was sexually groped by a handyman in the 9100 block of Keystone Avenue between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Aug. 30 but declined to press charges.
ARRESTS
Margaret M. Long, 34, of the 4900 block of North Albany Avenue, was arrested Aug. 28 at 12:04 a.m. at the Skokie Walmart, 3626 Touhy Ave. She was charged with retail theft and a search of her person resulted in an additional misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jason A. Tayloe, 22, of the 4700 block of Old Orchard Road, was arrested Aug. 28 at 2:58 p.m. at Macy's Old Orchard, 4909 Old Orchard Center, and charged with theft of less than $500.
Jessica Lauren Goodman, 28, of the 8900 block of Lavergne Avenue, was arrested and charged with retail theft at the Jewel-Osco, 9449 Skokie Blvd, on Aug. 29 at 8:06 p.m after allegedly stealing six bottles of Svedka vodka with a total value of $62.47.
Randall F. Papierski, 26, of the 12400 block of Ada Street, Calumet Park, was arrested at 8:19 p.m. in the same Aug. 29 incident. He allegedly stole the vodka along with Goodman.
Cody Carl Bryant, 23, of the 9200 block of Lorel Avenue, was arrested on Aug. 30 shortly before 2 a.m. and charged with criminal defacement of property after he allegedly spray painted the walls of the viaduct underneath the overpass of the Edens Expressway just east of the Optima building in the 9700 block of Woods Drive.
Priscilla A. Torres, 32, of the 4400 block of South Honore Street in Chicago, was arrested Aug. 30 at 2:10 p.m. and charged with theft after a battery and shoplifting was reported at Bloomingdales, 4963 Old Orchard Center.
Robert J. Stein, 61, of the 8300 block of Ridgeway Avenue, was arrested Aug 30 at 7:35 p.m. at Skokie Village Hall and charged with battery.
Cicilyn Walford, 58, of the 4700 block of Church Street, was arrested Aug. 30 shortly before 10 p.m. in the 9200 block of Kilpatrick Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content above 0.08.
Gilbert Anthony Santos, 47, of the 6000 block of North Sacramento Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at his home on Aug. 31 at 6:09 p.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Richard M. Jones, 22, of the 200 block of North Raye Drive, Chicago Heights, was arrested Sept. 2 at 6:54 p.m. at Xsport Fitness, 3450 Touhy Ave. and charged with criminal damage to property.
