Yellow Line Derailment Suspends Service

The CTA temporarily suspended service on its Yellow Line shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday.

SKOKIE, IL - Service on the CTA Yellow Line, which connects Skokie to downtown Chicago, was suspended shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday night due to a derailment.

The CTA recommends commuters use the Skokie 97 bus instead. Shuttles are also available.

As of 9:45 p.m., there is no estimated time for a return of the service.

All other CTA transit lines are currently operating under normal circumstances.
