14-Year Old Gang Member Shot And Killed In West Englewood

Chicago police say a 14-year-old who was shot to death near 67th and Winchester was a documented gang member.

CHICAGO, IL - A young teenager was killed in a gang-related drive-by shooting on the South Side early Wednesday morning. A 14-year-old boy was pronounced dead at Holy Cross Hospital after he was shot in the head in the 6700 block of South Winchester Avenue in the city's West Englewood neighborhood.

Chicago police in the 7th District say the boy was standing on the street around 12:05 a.m. when someone in a white sedan fired shots.

The victim was a documented gang member, according to police.
