7-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted In Bedroom By Stranger
Chicago police believe the man removed an air conditioning unit from the window, then made his way into the sleeping child's bedroom.

CHICAGO — Chicago police have issued a community alert after a 7-year-old girl asleep in her bedroom was sexually assaulted by a stranger in the early morning hours of July 22.
Around 3 a.m., police said a man forcibly entered the child’s bedroom window in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood on the South Side. The man is believed to have removed an air conditioner from a window to force his way into the house. Once inside the home, police said he sexually assaulted the child.
The girl’s father found the man in the house, who fled and ran into the 102nd Street alley between Forest and Prairie.

The man is described as black, approximately 6 feet tall, with a heavy muscular build and medium dark complexion, and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and black shoes, police said.
Police said residents to report suspicious activity by calling 911, be aware of unusual debris or litter on your property, and be aware of moved or outdoor furnishings.
