81-Year Old Woman Found Dead In South Side Home
Chicago police consider the death of an elderly woman at a home in Rosemoor a homicide.

CHICAGO, IL - An 81-year-old woman was found dead at a home in the city's Rosemoor neighborhood over the weekend. Police found the elderly woman unresponsive and "with severe trauma to her body" in the 1000 block of South Forest Avenue at 11:53 a.m. on Sunday. An NBC-Chicago report indicates she was "beaten to death."
Area South detectives are investigating the death as a homicide, according to police.
The identity of the woman has not been released pending the notification of next of kin, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
