Young Boy Found Wandering Streets Alone Reunited With His Family

CHICAGO, IL — An unidentified boy who was found Sunday wandering by himself on the West Side was reunited with his family, according to Chicago police.

Officers found the boy around 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, near Douglas and Homan avenues. The child was described as an African-American boy between the ages of 3 and 5 years old, 3-feet tall and about 30 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was found wearing a blue Sesame Street shirt, orange and gray shorts, and black and teal gym shoes. Police said the boy had a scratch marks on his left nostril.

The boy was reunited with his family Sunday night, police said. No criminal action was taken in the case, according to a police alert.
