CHICAGO — Chicago police have released surveillance video of two suspects believed responsible for shooting a retired CPD officer at a currency exchange Thursday morning as he tried to stop a robbery in Englewood. The retired officer remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Surveillance video captures a gray Dodge Durango pulling up to the currency exchange in the 7000 block of South Wentworth Avenue just before 7:30 a.m. Two men get out of the vehicle, one who appears to be holding a gun, and approach a 58-year-old woman opening the business. One of the men walks over to a parked car, possibly the retired cop’s car.
