IDOT Plans Saturday Lane Closures on I-55 and Pulaski Road

CHICAGO – Lane closures will take place on the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) under Pulaski Road this Saturday so that Illinois Department of Transportation workers can perform a bridge inspection.

The temporary lane closures will be in effect for the northbound and southbound Stevenson Expressway between 7 and 11 a.m. Saturday. IDOT workers will be inspecting the structure that carries Pulaski Road over I-55.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
