The new Patch Mayor program is recruiting local residents to let their neighbors know about events and issues on the South Side.

CHICAGO, IL — Do you sometimes feel no one is tooting a horn for the South Side? Do you wish you had a platform to sing the praises of people and events that make your community special? If you're a proud South Sider and would like to spread the word about everything good happening from Pilsen and Bridgeport to Pullman and Hegewisch, sign up to become a Patch Mayor.

Here are 3 reasons why you should sign up:

  1. Use Patch and our Facebook and Twitter pages to spread the word about about charity events, local celebrations, civic issues, weather, high school sports, new restaurants or businesses and more
