CHICAGO, IL - A man who tried to board a CTA bus late Sunday night on the South Side was run over by the bus.

Chicago police said the 60-year-old victim was knocking on the window of the bus as it was in the 6300 block of South Western Avenue around 11:10 p.m. to get the driver's attention so he could board the bus as it was driving off.

But while doing so, the man tripped, fell and was run over by the back wheel of the northbound bus.
