Chinatown Feeder Ramp Closes After Semi Hits Barrier
A semi truck that hit a barrier on the Dan Ryan Expressway near 31st Street has caused the outbound ramp from I-55 to close.

CHICAGO, IL -- The outbound ramp from Interstate 55 to the Dan Ryan Expressway, also known as the Chinatown feeder ramp, was closed for hours after a semi truck hit a barrier on the road above, causing several pieces of debris to fall on the ramp. The entire ramp was closed around 4:30 p.m. and crews were still out repairing the barrier that was damaged at 7 a.m., according to a Twitter post from WGN-TV Traffic.
TV news reports indicate the ramp was re-opened to traffic around 7:30 a.m.
More than one car on the ramp suffered a flat tire as a result of the debris that fell, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The ramp is used mostly by residents of the South Side and south suburbs when coming from downtown and Lake Shore Drive via the Stevenson Expressway. It wasn't clear as of 7 a.m. when it will be reopened.
