Outpouring Continues For Teen Killed While Delivering Newspapers
More than 200 people have raised thousands to support the family of 15-year-old Brian Jasso.

CHICAGO, IL - An effort to raise money for the funeral of Brian Jasso, the 15-year-old boy who was shot and killed while delivering newspapers on the Southwest Side of Chicago Sunday morning has more than tripled its goal in just one day. The trending GoFundMe campaign was at $6,273 in donations, out of a $2,000 goal, as of Tuesday night.
Jasso was shot and killed near 47th and Leamington in what police consider a case of mistaken identity. The area is the site of an ongoing gang war between two Hispanic gangs.
The outpouring of support for Jasso, whose stepfather is a longtime newspaper carrier who works for a company that contracts with both the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times, has come in the form of more than 200 people.
