Winning Lotto Ticket Worth $400K Sold At South Shore Gas Station

The ticket, sold at the Mobil at 67th and Jeffrey, matched all five numbers in Tuesday's midday drawing.

CHICAGO — The winning $400,000 Illinois Lottery Lucky Day Lotto ticket was purchased at the Mobil gas station at 6700 S. Jeffrey Ave. in the city's South Shore neighborhood. The lucky purchaser matched all five numbers in the Tuesday, Aug. 20, drawing — 12, 18, 23, 27, 21 — to win the jackpot, according to lottery officials.

Whoever has this ticket should sign the back and keep it in a safe place until visiting one of the Illinois Lottery's five prize centers. One of which is conveniently located in Chicago. The others are in Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield and Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.

The Mobil gas station that sold the ticket, which is on the southern edge of Jackson Park, will get their one percent share ($4,000) for selling the ticket.
