• Illinois residents eligible for tax help following summer storms (wmbdradio.com) — Springfield-based state officials are reminding Illinois taxpayers in storm-affected counties that they can request waivers of penalties and interest if severe summer weather delayed their tax filings or payments. Residents must submit a short explanation to the Department of Revenue, either by email or mail, and those with property damage can also seek reassessment through their county supervisor of assessments.
