UPDATE: Man Dies Following Weekend Crash in Kane Co.
The crash happened in unincorporated Burlington Saturday morning.

KANE COUNTY, IL - A Chicago man has died from injuries sustained in a weekend crash in rural Kane County, authorities said.
Chester Buford, 20, of the 2700 block of South Indiana Ave. in Chicago, was pronounced dead Wednesday at Rockford Memorial Hospital, according to a Kane County Sheriff's Office press release.
The crash happened at about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday as a Ford Focus was traveling west on Plank Road near the intersection of Lawrence Road in unincorporated Burlington Township and proceeded to pass another vehicle in a no passing zone.

The Ford Focus had to swerve to avoid colliding with a vehicle that was traveling east on Plank Road. The Focus went off the roadway on the south side, struck a utility pole and rolled on its side, according to a Kane County Sheriff’s Office press release.

The driver of the Focus, Ryan Kennedy, 21, of the 7000 block of South Artesian Avenue in Chicago, was taken to St. Joe’s Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Buford, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital.
There were no other occupants in the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved in the collision. It appears that both occupants were wearing seatbelts, according to the news release.
An investigation is ongoing and no tickets have been issued.
