20 Violent Crimes Reported in St. Charles: FBI Report
The FBI has released the 2014 Unified Crime Report.

The FBI recently released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report, which includes information about St. Charles.
According to the report, St. Charles saw 20 violent crimes in 2014, which is the same number of violent crimes reported in 2013. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

Of those violent crimes, there was three rapes, two burglaries and 15 aggravated assaults. Other crime stats for St. Charles include 490 property crimes, 63 burglaries, 420 reports of larceny/theft and one arson.
Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
