Why Are You Seeking Office?

I want to make sure that all students in the district are provided with the proper tools and resources to have the ability to receive a quality education, all the while being fiscally responsible to the tax payers of the community.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

My experience in business, my passion for education, and my current experience as a board member and having a father that was a school board member in Indiana for 20 plus years. I am very loyal and dedicated, I weigh all facts and information before voting.

Issue 1: What steps will you take to maintain/improve the quality of education in District 303 schools?

To make sure that the district hires qualified and competent administrators, teachers, and district personnel. Support staff to try new ways to improve learning. Make sure all students and staff have a safe environment to learn and be able to work.

Issue 2: What will you do to keep the district within its budget?

To stay current and monitor district expeditures on a monthly and yearly basis. Find out where we can make cuts but not to hinder the students learning and the teachers ability to teach. Be fiscally responsible to all involved.

Issue 3: The state of Illinois is grappling with a pension crisis that some blame on the practice of pension spiking. What is your stance on pension spiking and How do you propose to address the issue during contract negotiations?

This is not an easy question to answer. Where it ends up nobody knows. It seems that the local taxpayer gets stuck all the time with these situations.

Please add any other information pertinent to your campaign.

The D303 Board is one voice and our decisions are final. We all work well together and continue to move forward after all votes to make sure the district is running on all cylinders. We always want to take 2 steps forward and not 2 steps back. We want to stay in front of the issues and continue to grow.
