• Great Orb Hunt Returns To Kane County With 150 Hidden Treasures (patch.com) — Families in and around St. Charles can join the Great Orb Hunt, with handcrafted glass and ceramic orbs hidden at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve and other Kane County sites through Sept. 30. Organizers add new orbs daily along wooded and prairie trail edges, encouraging repeat visits, early-morning searching, and online registration of finds to track discoveries and share photos.
