Project Bear 2012 is put together by “The Social Butterflies” Caitlin Nowicki, Alaina Zocher and Alyssa Bartelson, a group of high school friends with special needs who wanted to put a smile on children’s faces.
We joined Kay Jewelers in the Geneva commons, by raising awareness for Make A Difference Day. Kay Jewelers sold (and is still selling) bears which supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. No less than $7.00 of the cost of the bears goes to St. Jude’s. Some of the people that purchased the bears then donated them to Project Bear 2012. “The Social Butterflies” group will then deliver them to emergency response teams in the Fox Valley area, on Make A Difference Day (Oct. 27, 2012).
We would like to thank you for all that you do for our community. Please accept these bears and help children to have a friend in their time of need.
