If volunteering is on your 2020 agenda, you will want to attend Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley's tutor training workshop. It will be held from 6:30pm to 9:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, January 6, 8, 13, and 15 at the St. Charles Public Library.

Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley helps adults communicate in English by matching them with trained volunteer tutors who provide lessons once each week. Literacy volunteers also help their adult students adapt to life in our community so they can understand how to live successfully in the United States.

If you know English, you can teach English to an adult who is waiting to learn. The program provides material and instruction so that anyone can be a volunteer tutor. If you have an hour a week, we can fit tutoring into your schedule.
