Clare Oaks Celebrates 5/50 Milestones

Clare Oaks continuing care retirement community will celebrate its 5th Birthday with a series of festive events throughout February, culminating with a reception on March 3, 2013.

Clare Oaks continuing care retirement community (www.clareoaks.com), serving more than 325 residents in suburban Bartlett, Ill., will celebrate its 5th Birthday with a series of festive events which start on Feb. 3, 2013 and run throughout the entire month of February, culminating with a reception on March 3, 2013.

The anniversary coincides with the 50th Anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone in February of 1963 of what was Immaculata Convent, the Provincial Home of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis (SSJ-TOSF).  To commemorate these milestones, residents and staff have organized a month long series of events including special church services to receptions, as well as a panel discussion hosted by the sisters and a historical display celebrating the rich history of the property.  Today, the sisters of St. Joseph remain active in the multi-faith Clare Oaks community.

“This is a special time for both the sisters of the SSJ-TOSF and residents of Clare Oaks,” said Marty Jensen, interim executive director.  “We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful community here are Clare Oaks.  While we reflect on our past by celebrating these significant milestones with our residents, their families and our staff, we also look forward to Clare Oak’s bright future and what the next 50 years will bring.”

Since its opening, Clare Oaks has been dedicated to providing superior care built on the foundation of mind, body and spirit inspired by its founder the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis.  Life Care Services, LLC, established in 1971 and currently serving 103 retirement communities across the country serves as the management company for Clare Oaks.
