Cruise Nights Returning to St. Charles

Events held each Tuesday night between July 10 - Aug. 31.

Hear the purr of classic car engines tomorrow night and every Tuesday night for the next eight weeks as Cruise Nights returns to St. Charles.

The free event begins at 5:30 and concludes at 8 p.m. Classic car owners can display their vehicles for free; cars must be registered to compete for prizes which will be awarded at 7:45 p.m. each evening. The event will be held on Riverside Avenue (between Main & Illinois Streets).

The events also will feature food and beverages, a face painter, music and 50/50 raffle. The first 200 attendees each Tuesday night will receive a gift bag.

Because of Cruise Nights there will be some street closures, according to a St. Charles Police Department release.The following closures will be in effect from 4–8 p.m.

  • Riverside Avenue  between E. Main Street and Illinois Avenue
  • Walnut Avenue between Riverside Avenue and S. 2nd Avenue
  • Municipal Lot B  (Second Court Parking Lot) in the 100 block of Walnut Avenue

No parking will be allowed on Riverside Avenue or Walnut Avenue in the area of the closures each Tuesday during that timeframe. Unauthorized vehicles will be ticketed and may also be towed.

Parking will be available at both area parking decks as well as the Municipal Center Lot on N. Riverside Avenue.
