District 303 Examines Possible Merger of High School Boosters Clubs

A lack of oversight is prompting the proposed consolidation.

More than 50 boosters clubs at both and could merge into as few as two groups at each school under a proposed change by District 303 leadership.

Superintendent Don Schlomann said he is concerned lack of “checks and balances” on the complex system of the fund-raising groups and the questionable accounting practices uncovered in an internal audit from earlier this year, according to the Daily Herald.
