SELF ESTEEM FOR LIFE FOUNDATION
ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR “GODSPELL”

  
Self Esteem for Life Foundation (SELF) is non-profit organization dedicated to building self-esteem
among young people. Youth ages 8 to 20 have the opportunity to create a musical theatre production. Participants can audition for singing, acting or dancing roles. Those not interested in performing can work backstage, on sets, costumes, lighting, sound, and more.

Auditions are open which means no appointments. Actors/singers are seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and may arrive at any time within the specified time block. Be prepared to wait. Please be familiar with the show prior to the audition. Casting is based on ability, experience, training and suitability for the role.

Bring an 8 x 10 headshot attached to a proper actor's resume.


Prepare and memorize a 1-minute monologue in the style of the show which portrays the character you are most interested in playing. Do not use a monologue from the show. You may be asked to read from the script.

Also prepare and memorize 16 bars of a song from a similar style show. Bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Do not bring CDs or sing a song from the show. Singing a cappella is not recommended.

Actors will be taught a dance routine. Be prepared to dance with proper shoes and clothing.

April 24-June 5, 2012
Tuesdays and
Fridays from 6-9pm
Sundays 3:30-5:30pm Music Rehearsals
(No rehearsal May 13, May 20 or June 8)

Rehearsal dates subject to change. We are willing
to work around conflicts.

Wednesday, June 13 from 5-9pm

PERFORMANCES: (no absences)
Thursday, June 14 at 7pm
Friday, June 15 at 7pm
Saturday, June 16 at 7pm
Sunday, June 17 at 7pm

This is an audition-only, tuition-based educational program for the best and the brightest young talent.

Tuition is $195*. Cast will be required to provide their own costumes, props, makeup and personal items such as socks, shoes, etc. *Tuition fee is non-refundable. Payment plans available.
