Body Of Man Found In Fox River In St. Charles, Investigation Underway

The body was found Wednesday morning in the river in St. Charles.

ST. CHARLES — Authorities are investigating after the body of a man was found in the Fox River Wednesday morning, officials said.

The St. Charles Police and Fire Departments responded at about 9:10 a.m. to the west side of the river in the 200 block of North 2nd Street after receiving a report of an unresponsive male floating in the water, according to a news release.

Police conducted an initial investigation at the scene before notifying the Kane County Coroner’s Office. The coroner later responded and transported the individual for further examination and identification.

Officials said the investigation remains ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
