Tues., April 3, from noon to 5 p.m., the Heartland Blood Center donation coach will be in the in the parking lot outside of City Hall for the City’s spring blood drive.
You don’t need a cape to be a hero. Sign up to donate blood and you will come to the rescue of three people in need (each blood donation can be divided into platelets, red cells, and plasma).
To make an appointment, simply log on to www.heartlandbc.org, go to the “Donating” tab, and click on “Schedule Appointment Online.” Scroll down the page and select “Open to the Public,” and type in the St. Charles zip code, “60174”. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended. Donations usually take 20 to 30 minutes.
