A woman came into Claudia’s Closet yesterday and told us about her New Years Resolution, it’s not your typical resolution she said, but it’s one that she loved and thought would help support small businesses! She went on to explain that she loves to shop resale consignment and feels that she has not been to all consignment shops and is missing out! So her New Years Resolution is to shop at atleast one new resale consignment shop per month! A little embarrassed she expressed that she was a little behind and it’s already April 3rd, so of course we had to help her out! We went through a list of local consignment shops such as Always In Style, Anew, Jane Pabon, Jobella’s, Plato’s Closet in Geneva, she stopped us and said she has been to all of them and loves them, so we went on…. Sassy Fox, My Favorite Things, Consignment Gallery, Ascosta’s, Klein’s Tack & Feed, Mr. Thrifty, Simitree, she was so excited to find new consignments shops to visit, and then we gave her our “Shop Consignment With All Of Us” Flyer, which can be found in our store as well as our website! Our new customer was so thrilled that not only is she keeping her New Years Resolution, but that there are so many new places to shop and keep it local! It’s one thing to just give someone a business card or a flyer to recommend another business, but it’s a completely different experience for everyone when you engage with your customers and let them know all about the other local resale consignment stores to shop at and encourage them to go there right now! We all work together to help each other and most importantly to help our customers find what they are looking for! Remember If Claudia’s Closet does not have what you’re looking for, we will know which consignment store might have it and even call them to ask.
