Saturday, September 10 the Tri-City Health Partnership, Delnor Hospital and The Salvation Army will host the seventh annual Tri City Health Fair, which offers attendees a variety of free services and screenings provided by local agencies. The fair will be held at The Baker Community Center, 101 S. Second Street in St. Charles and will offer services from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The first 150 visitors to the fair will receive a free boxed lunch, compliments of Golden Diners.

“Hundreds of local residents attended this fair last year,” says Shannon Watson, executive director of Tri City Health Partnership. “For those without health insurance, or with limited financial resources, it may be the one time a year that many local residents have the opportunity to access an array of health-care services in one place at no cost.”
The fair will offer free screenings for high blood pressure, child developmental age 0-3, diabetes (must fast eight hours before screening), depression, HIV testing, neck and spine issues and osteoporosis to attendees. Immunizations for adults and children, influenza and pneumonia vaccinations will also be available at a nominal charge. The fair will also provide information on available resources from addiction and aging, to cancer prevention, dental resources, domestic violence, suicide prevention, home modifications for aging, diabetic shoes, meals for seniors, local medical clinic services, library services and park district information. Twenty-two local agencies will be in attendance.

Attendees will enjoy live music, giveaways and raffle prizes that will be awarded every 15 minutes during the fair.
