“Now that is a very unusual hat. I wonder what’s under a hat such as that!” You don’t have to wait long to find out as the children of Fox Valley Repertory’s Performing Arts Academy will be performing free showcases of Seussical Jr. on the Pheasant Run Mainstage in March!
Free performances will take place Monday, March 12th at 7pm and Sunday, March 18th at 11am. Admission to this show is free but the cast will be accepting donations for H.E.L.P. (Homes for Endangered and Lost Pets). Appreciated items include dog and cat toys, milk bones, raw hides, Kleenex, bleach and gift cards. The boys and girls have been busy rehearsing their lines and moving to the music as they prepare for this fun-loving production combining Dr. Seuss’ whimsical stories that come to life.

“I am always amazed at the talent and dedication of these young performers,” says Director Tracy Whiteside from St. Charles. “Seussical is just a fun show and the cast brings such imagination and enthusiasm to their roles. This is why I love working with kids!”
The cast includes kids from all over the Fox Valley including: Cecelia Carrington (Aurora), Caden Bohmer, Madelynn Calbeck, Brooke Herrera, Jacob Skomer (Batavia), Catherine Downs, Kaia Ebel, Erin Hurley, Ella Kobylecky (Geneva), Christina Calbeck, Carolyn Calbeck, Robert Keldani (South Elgin), Kaitlyn Crowell, Katie Das, Kristen Das, Erika Denker, Kiera Denker, Bethany Paris, Melina Paris, Eva Saltsman (St. Charles).

“This has been my favorite show because the music and characters are so fun,” says cast member Caden Bohmer of Batavia.
