Anthony Truchard and his wife came to the Carneros region of Napa in 1974 when the wine industry was emerging on the scene. The Truchard Estate Vineyard is a series of hills and valleys, which contain a variety of soils: clay, shale, sandstone, volcanic rock and ash. The various combinations of terrain, geology, and marine-moderated temperatures provide unique winegrowing conditions. Currently the vineyard grows 10 different grape varieties, making it one of the most diverse estate vineyards in California. All of their wines are estate grown. They sell grapes to some of the top producers in Napa Valley.
Join us on tonight to hear the story of how Anthony Jr. and his parents started with a few acres and grew to be a major player in the Napa wine story. We will be sampling 5 wines and offering some amazing raffle prizes.
