Jay’s most famous composition, Ashokan Farewell, the haunting theme music for Ken Burns' The Civil War PBS series, earned international acclaim. The soundtrack won a Grammy, and Ashokan Farewell — originally inspired by Jay and Molly's annual fiddle and dance camps — was nominated for an Emmy.
