Transcendentalist author Henry David Thoreau's last and longest journey brought him through northern Illinois and the Midwest in the spring of 1861. Thoreau scholar Corinne Smith will lead an evening travelogue of the journey. There will be an indoor slide presentation, followed by an evening walk in the woods to the Fox River, concluding with a campfire. For ages 18+.
