The Fox Valley Marathon Set for Sept. 18

The Fox Valley Marathon starts and ends in downtown St. Charles and travels through Geneva, Batavia, North Aurora, and Aurora.

The Fox Valley Marathon will start and end in downtown St. Charles on Sept. 18 at 7 a.m. Runners are invited to participate in three different races: the 26.2 mile marathon, the 20 mile race, and the 13.1 mile half marathon.

The shady, gentle course winds around suburban Chicago and is ideal for runners trying to make fast times. The race travels through Geneva, Batavia, North Aurora, and Aurora and ends across the Fox River. Family and friends can see the finish across the Fix River from over a mile away.

This race is a certified early fall Boston Qualifier. Fox Valley 2016 occurs the Sunday before Week Two of the 2017 Boston General Registration. According to the Fox Valley Marathon's website, this race has been among the top 25 U.S. qualifying races based on the percent of finishers.
