Free Pizza and Prizes at Fourth Annual Skateboard Competition

Skateboarders of all ages will have a chance to compete for gift card prizes during the Fourth Annual Skate Park Bash at Mt. St. Mary skate park on Route 31 on Saturday. The event is sponsored by the St. Charles Youth commission.

Registration is the day of the event starting at 11 a.m. Free pizza will be provided to those who compete.

Skateboarders in two age groups, up to age 12 and 13 and over, will be judged on the flow of the ride, difficulty of tricks and the number of tricks landed. Judging will be done by Choice Skateboards in Elgin who will also offer a chance to win free skateboard merchandise.

Several local teen bands will provide musical entertainment in the cage of the park after the competition.
