St. Charles Mock Trial Students to Compete Before Kane Co. Judges

Teams from St. Charles East and St. Charles North will host a tournament on Feb. 4.

Court will soon be in session for teams from both St. Charles high schools.

The mock trial teams from and are hosting a tournament on Feb. 4 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

's Chief Judge F. Keith Brown and other judges from the circuit will preside over the mock trials. In the tournament, 14 suburban schools will compete in anticipation of the Illinois State Bar Association's Mock Trial tournament in Springfield. 

According to the website, the high school students will litigate the Estate of Heeney-Potter, a civil case where a woman leaves millions of dollars to her daughters and her pets. The daughters object to the will and consider it invalid.
