Hot Days Ahead, Take Precautions
City encourages precautions, but has not opened cooling stations.

As hot temperatures roll through the Tri-Cities this week, St. Charles officials urge residents to take precautions against the heat.
Temperatures are expected to hit the high 90s today and Wednesday, according to forecasts. City officials are monitoring weather conditions, but as of yet have not established any official cooling centers, said Lisa Garhan, the city community and public affairs coordinator.
Garhan said city officials encourage residents to take the usual summer weather precautions, including "take advantage of air-conditioned places, minimize outdoor activities, drink plenty of fluids and wear lightweight loose-fitting clothing."
