Idea Garden Open House Will Be In July

ST. CHARLES, IL — Skip the apps and websites, and come see inspirational garden ideas in person at the popular Master Gardener Idea Garden in St. Charles. Master Gardeners will host two more open houses this summer. The first open house was held on June 4 and the additional open houses will be from 8 to 11 a.m. on July 20 and Aug. 6 at the Kane County Master Gardener Idea Garden, 3480 Route 38 in St. Charles, according to a news release.

“The 2019 Idea Garden continues to showcase designs that are easy to replicate at home, but with some new featured ideas,” said Sarah Fellerer, Program Coordinator for University of Illinois Extension. “Come see what plants work well for medicinal or food storage gardens. Learn about making patches for front yard veggies, beneficial beetles, or pollinators. There’s also our children’s garden and more."

Visitors also are welcome to stop in during Master Gardener work days on other Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m.
