Kane Co. Bomb Squad Responds to St. Charles Incident

ST. CHARLES, IL — Some residents living on Lucylle Court were evacuated from their homes after a bomb threat. The Kane County Bomb and Arson Squad were called to the area on Tuesday after a St. Charles Police Department officer took a suspect into custody following a complaint of a threat and found what appeared to be a possible incendiary device on him, police said.

The suspicious device was later deemed safe. As part of the investigation, police checked a vehicle and residence in the area before allowing residents to return to the area Tuesday evening, according to St. Charles Police.

“We are continuing to investigate this incident along with the Geneva Police Department,” according to a statement from St. Charles police.
