License Revoked for Another St. Charles Massage Parlor After Police Sting

City officials revoked the license for Main Spa in St. Charles.

ST. CHARLES, IL - The license has been revoked for another St. Charles massage parlor following a March 15 police sting where an employee of the business was charged with prostitution.

Main Spa, at 504 E. Main Street, had its license revoked and was ordered to pay a $3,089.71 fine and court costs during a St. Charles Liquor Control Commission meeting on April 18, according to a news release.

Police conducted an undercover operation on March 15 targeting businesses that offer massages in town, police said. An employee at Main Spa, Ok Kim, 62, of Chicago, was accused of offering to perform a sex act in exchange for money during the undercover operation, police said. Xinian Hu, 48, an employee at Best Massage, 2774 E. Main St., was also charged with prostitution and operating without a license during the sting.

The license for Best Massage has already been revoked, according to the Aurora Beacon-News.

Lotus Spa, at 1700 Lincoln Highway, Unit J, in St. Charles, has closed its doors since the March 15 sting where the business’s owner, Fenglan Smythe, 50, 979 Golf Course Road, Apt. 1 in Crystal Lake, was charged with practicing massage without a license, according to the Daily Herald.
