St. Charles Aldermanic Forum Is March 14
March 14 forum planned at Bridges Montessori Academy.

Another community group has announced plans to host a March 14 forum to introduce the candidates for the five aldermanic seats on the St. Charles City Council.
Ten candidates are vying for the positions, with only 4th Ward Alderwoman Jo Krieger unopposed. Concerned Coalition for Sensible Spending of St Charles Inc. has scheduled the resident’s forum for the entire slate of candidates for alderman.
The forum is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at .

Each of the 10 candidates will have three minutes to present his/her platform, followed by an informal question-and-answer session with residents.
The entire St Charles community is invited to attend.

To date, the West-Side neighborhood group 2R2R (for River to Randall, Railway to Route 64) has held a forum for the nonincumbent aldermanic candidates, and has scheduled a forum later this month with the four mayoral candidates.
Concerned Coalition for Sensible Spending of St Charles Inc. was founded in 2010 as a nonprofit community group “acting as a unified voice in addressing the issues and concerns of” residents. The group lists as its primary mission maintaining “resident quality of life, safety and area character without putting undue financial strain upon the local taxpayers, informing and educating residents and contacting government on local, state and federal levels.”
Members of Concerned Coalition for Sensible Spending of St Charles Inc. are taxpaying St Charles residents, some of whom volunteer to community initiatives. “We are your neighbors and friends you see every day shopping at our downtown businesses, dining at our wonderful restaurants, supporting cultural events,” the groups press release states.
