Nine St. Charles Standouts Honored by University, College

Students' grades earn them spots on president's, deans' lists.

Drake University Honors Eight from St. Charles

St. Charles resident Eric Zange’s 4.0 grade-point average earned him a place of honor on the President’s List for the fall 2012 semester at Drake University.

In addition, Drake honored seven more St. Charles residents on its Dean’s List for achieving a GPA of 3.5 or above during the fall semester. They are:

Margaret Benhart, Angel Gentchev, Allison Gibble, Jordan Grant, Bailey Mack, Trevor Marchuk, and Kevin Maisto.

With an enrollment of about 3,400 full-time undergraduate students and 1,900 graduate students representing 49 states and 50 countries, Drake University is a private, independent university in Des Moines, Iowa.

Emily Dieter Named to Saint Michael's College Dean's List

Emily Dieter, daughter of Mary and Michael Dieter of St. Charles, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at Saint Michael's College.

Dieter is a senior biochemistry major at the liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vt., one of America's top 10 college towns. Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the Dean's List.

Dieter graduated from St. Charles North High School before coming to Saint Michael's.
