Scarecrow Fest 2013: Free Parking, Shuttles

First and foremost that is key to navigating the 28th annual Scarecrow Fest, which runs Oct. 11-13, is find a place to park.

The Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau says festival attendance has grown to as many as 150,000 in recent years. That’s one reason the Visitors Bureau encourages visitors to park remotely for free, and then to catch a free shuttle ride to and from your vehicle.

The idea is to ease parking and heavy traffic congestion in the downtown even while ensuring fest-goers have easy access to Scarecrow Fest.
