St. Charles Considers BYOB Regulations for Restaurants

There are currently three BYOB businesses in St. Charles.

The city of St. Charles is one step closer to placing more regulations on businesses wishing to offer a “Bring Your Own Beverage” policy for its customers, according to media reports.

The liquor commission recently approved the new regulations. The new code will next be sent to the St. Charles City Council for approval, according to the Chicago Tribune.

If approved, the BYOB policy would require businesses, including the three BYOB businesses currently in St. Charles, to receive a Class F-1 license from the liquor commission, the newspaper reports.
