St. Charles Grad Named Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year

Jamie Forbes is an All-Horizon League First Team goalkeeper at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

St. Charles-native Jamie Forbes was recently named Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year.

Forbes, who had graduated from , is an All-Horizon League First Team goalkeeper and a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was also named league Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Forbes started in 17 of the Panthers' 18 games this season. She posted impressive numbers for the season, including nine shutouts and averaging 0.64 goals as a keeper.

The Horizon League includes Butler University, Cleveland State University, the University of Detroit Mercy, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Loyola University Chicago, Valparaiso University, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Wright State University and Youngstown State University, according to the league's website.

UW-Milwaukee will host the Horizon League Championship on Friday and Sunday.

Forbes also is an alumni of the Eclipse Select Soccer Club, an elite-level youth soccer in the Chicago area.
