St. Charles North Grad’s Assist Not Enough for Central
Wesleyan tops Central College Dutch 4-1 on Saturday. Brandon Bautista of St. Charles credited with tackle, pass to scorer.

A grad helped give Central College an early 1-0 lead on Saturday, but the men’s soccer team failed to hold off an assault that gave Illinois Wesleyan a 4-1 victory, according to Central College’s website.
Midfielder Brandon Bautista of St. Charles made a tackle just four minutes into the match and passed the ball to Central midfielder Matt Woodcock, who scored.
“Brandon made a great tackle on their left back, took the ball in a few steps and passed it to Matt, who finished it brilliantly,” coach Garry Laidlaw said. More details on the game are available at http://www.central.edu/athletics/story.cfm?storyID=4260.
