Update: St. Charles North Students Raise More Than $30,000 at Relay for Life Event
More than 350 students participated in Relay for Life event last week.
Relay for Life teams st St. Charles North raised more than $30,000 fduring last week's event to raise money in the fight against cancer.
More than 350 people participated in the overnight event at . The walk, consisted of 36 teams who took turns walking from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Members of each team take turns walking around the track for the duration of the event while others will rest in camp sites around the track.
The event was a student relay, organized and produced by the students of St. Charles North High School.
During the event St. Charles North High School's HOPE Club organized the Luminaria Ceremony at the 2012 Relay For Life event at SCN. They arranged luminaria bags to spell out "HOPE" before the ceremony and during, they moved the bags to read "CURE".
