St. Charles Teen Caught Driving 107: Cops

Brandon D. Schwarz was allegedly clocked driving 107 mph in a 55-mph zone earlier this month.

An 18-year-old St. Charles man faces charges after a Kane County Sheriff's Office deputy clocked him driving more than 35 mph over the posted speed limit in Maple Park last week, authorities said. Brandon D. Schwarz, of the 2400 block of Majestic Oaks Lane in St. Charles, was allegedly caught driving 107 mph south on Peplow Road near Ramm Road at about 9:30 p.m. on July 23, the Kane County Chronicle reports. He has been charged with driving more than 35 mph over the speed limit for speeding in an area that has a speed limit of 55.

This is not the first time Schwarz has gotten into trouble for excessive speeding. In 2016, he was cited for driving 72 mph in a 45-mph zone in the 1500 block of North Kirk Road in St. Charles, according to the article.
