Universities Laud 26 More From St. Charles Area
Three students at LeTourneau University in Texas, five at Taylor University in Indiana and 18 at Marquette University in Milwaukee listed on president's, deans' lists. Two are from Campton Hills.

College’s and universities continue sending out press releases about students who achieve honors during the fall semester, and this week’s batch of 26 students includes one who perfect 4.0 grade-point average earned her a spot on her university’s president’s list.
LeTourneau University President’s and Dean’s Lists
Brooke Bertsche of St. Charles was named to the fall 2012 President's List at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.

Bertsche achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average to receive this honor, according to a release on behalf of the university from readMedia.
Dr. Steven D. Mason, LeTourneau University associate provost and dean of faculty, said in the release that being named to the President's List is a significant academic achievement and honor.

“The rigorous curriculum and high academic standards at LeTourneau University are highly respected throughout our country and beyond,” Mason said. “LeTourneau University is well-known for its quality education. To obtain a perfect grade point average for academic performance is, indeed, very impressive.”
Bertsch was joined in honors by two other St. Charles residents whose GPAs earned them spots on the university’s Dean’s List, which recognizes students who have achieved a GPA between 3.50 and 3.99 for the semester. Alec Pollard and Jacob Veague, both of St Charles, did just that, the release states.
LeTourneau University is an interdenominational Christ-centered university offering academic majors in aviation, business, criminal justice, education, engineering, health science-nursing, human services, liberal arts, science and psychology. LeTourneau University also offers graduate degrees in business administration, counseling, education, engineering, psychology and strategic leadership. The university claims its graduates are professionals of ingenuity and Christ-like character who see their life's work as a holy calling with eternal impact.
Taylor University Honors Five
At Taylor University in Upland, Ind., three St. Charles residents were named to the fall 2012 Dean's list. Full-time students are named to the Dean's List when they have earned a GPA of 3.60 or higher for the term and have taken at least 12 hours of classes.
The five from St. Charles are Jennifer Bertsche, Michael DeJong, Alec Eickert, Trevor Hitt and Emily Stahulak.
Established in 1846, Taylor University is an interdenominational evangelical liberal arts university, ranked the No. 1 the Midwest baccalaureate college in the 2012 U.S. News and World Report America's Best Colleges survey. It was Taylor’s fifth consecutive top ranking. Taylor University is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
Marquette University Applauds 18
Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. Named the following St. Charles residents and two Campton Hills residents to its fall 2012 Dean's List:
- Kelly Verstat, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in accounting.
- Jennifer Bourbon, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in accounting.
- William Jolly of Campton Hills, who Jolly is pursuing a bachelor of science in accounting.
- Kelly Vonderhaar, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering in bioelectronics.
- Daniel Wright, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in biomedical sciences.
- Joseph Samuels, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in biomedical sciences.
- Charles Lyon, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in biomedical sciences.
- Joseph Vonderhaar, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in electrical engineering in electrical and electronic engineering.
- Meaghan Patterson, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in elementary/middle education.
- Emily Selin of Campton Hills, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in exercise physiology.
- Alexandra Schweizer, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in exercise physiology.
- Ryan Conroy, who is pursuing a bachelor of arts in Interdisciplinary International Affairs.
- Alex Woodard, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in marketing.
- Jaclyn Leibforth, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing.
- Gina Bartindale, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing.
- Jackie Falotico, who is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing.
- Holly Robertson, who is pursuing a bachelor of arts in psychology.
- Alexandra Liss, who is pursuing a bachelor of arts in an undeclared major.
